A large Flat Racing Stable (140 horses) near Andover, Hampshire, requires a full-time estate maintenance person to work alongside our current head groundsman/ gallop-man. This is a varied role of estate maintenance, as well as yard-based jobs including mucking out, the moving around of large bales (telehandler), fencing repairs, spraying, strimming and general upkeep of the property, keeping it to a high standard.

Experience with tractors, telehandlers and familiarity with using various implements is a necessity. This would suit someone who also enjoys carrying out general yard repairs and basic machinery maintenance/repairs, with a keen eye for attention to detail.

This position would also suit anyone with a farming/ equestrian background, who can work independently whilst being part of a large team.

Knapsack spraying and chainsaw certification would be an advantage.
