An opportunity has arisen for a skilled arable operator to become a member of a diverse and fast moving arable farming business in the south Suffolk area.

The arable business extends to circa 1200ac cropping wheat, barley, peas, sugar beet and potatoes with land rented out for onion production.

The role will be mainly focussed around cultivations and cereal drilling operating a Fendt 943, Vaderstad 8m drill and various cultivation equipment including Lemken 7f mounted plough, Keeble Progressive subsoiler and various Vadertsad cultivators. The role will NOT be limited to these operations and will offer a diverse range of duties including workshop/machinery maintenance, general estate maintenance and residential and commercial property maintenance.

We require a highly skilled, forward thinking individual with experience in using high horsepower tractors, large implements, good knowledge of GPS systems and a high attention to detail. You will be expected to work alongside a strong team and longer hours during busy periods whilst getting stuck in to all elements of the business.

An ongoing training programme will be tailored to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate must possess;

•A valid UK driving licence

•Category H entitlement

•Cereal drilling experience

•Ploughing experience

•Experience using GPS systems

•A polite and enthusiastic can do attitude
