Location: Whenby (12 miles North of York), North Yorkshire

Job Type: Permanent; Full Time; Holiday entitlement; Pension Scheme.

Hours: 2 week shift rota. Alternate weekends plus weekday off. Includes early morning/afternoon milking.

Essential criteria: Driving licence due to location of the farm.

About us:

We are a well-established, multi-site and family run dairy business. We are contracted with Arla Foods UK and we are looking for a new team member. The farm consists of a 350 spring calving herd milked twice a day in a herringbone swingover parlour. We welcome applications from candidates with varying levels of experience - training on our systems and processes will be provided. Role:

•Milking: ensure safe and calm environment; preparation; carry out the milking process in line with cow status; wash down, clean, and reset.

•Stockmanship/General livestock care: distributing feed; carry out daily herd observations; support basic health/welfare checks; maintain bedding/cow comfort.

•Cleaning and maintenance: of the dairy, equipment, and farmyard; maintain hygiene standards; carry out scraping and routine yard cleaning.

•Machinery: carry out telehandler work in support of daily and seasonal farm operations.

•Assist with calving and calf rearing as required.
