Job Role

The Mixer Wagon Driver is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the farm's feed mixer wagon to prepare and deliver accurate daily rations to livestock. This role is part of a team and involves maintaining feed quality, ensuring animal feeding schedules are met, whilst following all health and safety procedures.

Key Responsibilities

•Prepare and mix livestock feed according to specified ration.

•Load the mixer wagon using the appropriate machinery e.g. telehandler.

•Deliver feed to livestock on schedule, ensuring even distribution and minimal waste.

•Monitor feed consistency and report any issues with feed quality.

•Safely operate the mixer wagon and associated equipment.

•Carry out daily pre-start inspections and routine maintenance checks.

Health and Safety

•Follow all farm health and safety procedures.

•Operate machinery safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Person Specification

•Experience operating agricultural machinery is desirable.

•Good understanding of livestock feeding practices.

•Ability to follow feeding plans accurately.

•Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.

•Good communication skills.

•Full UK driving licence.
