We are looking for a Lead Arable Operator to join our team, based in Buckinghamshire. We are a mix farming estate with arable, dairy and beef enterprises. The arable enterprise covers over 1600 acres of rotational crops including; cereals, maize and temporary grass.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Farm Manager to achieve high standards of arable farming. The role will cover all aspects of the arable including working closely with the agronomist, being the primary spray operator and workshop maintenance.

Key duties include:

• Spraying, cultivations, drilling, fertiliser applications, harvest and forage operations

• Monitoring grain stores

• Workshop repairs and machinery maintenance

• Other duties include hedge cutting, fencing, occasional livestock work and general mix farm jobs

• Keeping records up to date (Muddy boots/Telus)

• Involved in the rotation and scheme planning

Requirements

• Proven experience operating a range of agricultural machinery

• Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to high standards

• Ability to carry out machinery maintenance and repair/diagnostics

• Flexibility to work varying hours during busy periods

• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team

• The ability to make decisions on their own and communicate effectively within a team is of high importance.

Certificates/Tickets (training can be provided) :

• Full UK driving licence

• Telehandler

• PA2, PA4 & PA6
