We are looking for a lambing assistant for our flock of 250 mixed mules and Suffolk X ewes. We run a flock of all second plus lambing ewes and try to lamb outside if the British weather plays ball.

Accommodation is provided in a very comfortable and well maintained static caravan located on the farm a short distance from the lambing paddocks and nursery shed.

Night checks will be required as well as early mornings and all of the usual antisocial hours that we are accustomed to at this time of year. You will be working alone and/or alongside our full time shepherd.

You must have lambing experience, be able to lamb ewes and suckle on weak lambs etc.

The farm is located 15 minutes from Milton Keynes with excellent road and rail links to the majority of the country. The closest shops are in our local town of Buckingham ( 7 minutes drive) as well as a local Coop in the village (2 minutes drive). A farm land rover can be used for shopping trips as long as you are over the insured age of 21 and hold a full UK driving license.

Pay to be proportionate to experience, a driving license is not require.

Ultimately this is a nice chilled lambing job with good facilities, long hours on offer.
