Looking after our herd of 300 NZX Jersey autumn calving cows in a brand new unit. Grazed early march onwards to November. You will be responsible for afternoon milkings and every other weekend milkings, looking after herd welfare, foottrimming, occasional AI, administrating medicines, record keeping, calving and heat detection. Must have previous experience. Small amount of tractor work, TMR feeding, etc Approximately 45 hours per week. More hours at calving time. Suitable candidate must be confident enough to look after the farm occasionally as we like to help our Daughter on her farm. Good salary for the right applicant. Lovely area near Carlisle in Cumbria.
