DAIRY HERDSPERSON

Due to existing long serving herdsperson moving on.

An opportunity has arisen for a herdsperson on a well invested dairy/arable unit in North East Wales, covering 1000 acres.

The housed herd of 550 Holstein cows are milked 2x per day through a 48;48 90 degree Delaval parlour, with ADF . This is a hands on roll, working as part of a friendly team including the owners, vet, RMS technicians and other staff members. The successful candidate must be self-motivated with a keen stockmans eye. Attention to detail and a tidy approach to working is required. Computer literacy is necessary for record keeping & monitoring performance using Uniform Agri, which is the farms herd management programme. Training can be provided as required.
