General Farm Worker South Devon

General Farm Worker wanted for a progressive dairy and beef farm in South Devon.

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join our team on a busy family-run farm.

We milk a 600-cow spring-calving grazing herd, with a strong focus on grassland and grazing management. GEA 54 point rotary parlour installed in 2023. We breed all of our own heifer replacements and keep our beef stock through to finishing, so there is plenty of variety to the role throughout the year.

The role will include:

* Tractor and machinery work including; bedding, feeding and yard scraping

* General livestock work

* General farm maintenance

* Grazing and grassland work

* Helping with the day-to-day running of the farm

* Calf feeding and youngstock care

* Potentially some milking

Experience is essential.

We are looking for someone who is:

* Hardworking and reliable

* Practical and willing to learn

* Comfortable working with cattle

* Able to work both independently and as part of a team

* Positive and willing to get involved with all aspects of farm work

* Able to provide previous work references.
