GENERAL FARM WORKER/

Full-time | alternate weekends

We are looking for a forward-thinking and enthusiastic individual to help with the day-to-day running of a 150-head Holstein Friesian milking herd, as well as assist with 150 store cattle and 1,700 sheep.

This is a diverse role offering a wide range of tasks across both farms. However, if one area of work suits an individual better, this can be accommodated.

The Role:

• Milking through a 10-unit swing-over parlour

• Feeding and bedding store cattle using a telehandler

• General tractor work slurry, fertiliser, silaging, etc.

• Stock work feeding and handling young stock

• Operating telehandlers, feeder wagons, straw choppers, and general farm machinery

This is a hands-on, varied position combining livestock care, general maintenance, and machinery operation.

Youll be part of a small, supportive team looking after the herd and ensuring the smooth running of the farm throughout the year.

About You:

Were looking for someone who:

• Has strong experience in handling and caring for livestock

• Demonstrates excellent stockmanship and a strong awareness of animal welfare

• Can confidently operate farm machinery and has basic mechanical aptitude

• Holds a valid UK driving licence (essential)

• Works well both independently and as part of a team

• Has a proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
