Job Vacancy General Farm Worker (Full-Time)

Location: Helston/Falmouth, Cornwall

We farm 1,250 acres with 450 autumn-calving dairy cows, alongside dairy replacements and beef cattle reared to finish. The farm continues to invest in buildings and infrastructure. The herd is fed a TMR, with grazing during the summer months. We also grow 500 acres of corn and maize for our own use.

We are a diverse team and aim to keep the role varied while maintaining high standards of work.

The role will include a mix of farm tasks, including but not limited to, scraping, feeding, bedding, assisting with milking, moving groups of cows at milking time, fencing and livestock tasks such as TB testing and weighing. There may also be opportunities to undertake additional tractor work for those interested.

Applicants must be competent in basic tractor driving and have a basic understanding of livestock husbandry as a minimum. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude and a desire to learn.

We operate to high standards and expect these to be maintained. Training can and will be provided in all areas where required. A positive attitude, attention to detail and the ability to work well as part of the existing team are essential.

Pay dependent on experience.

A full, valid driving licence is required.
