Description

The job is working within a team for a very highly regarded poultry business within the Thames Valley. The job is working predominantly on the farm team growing circa 130,000 turkeys for both the seasonal and all year round market across four farms. Being a fully integrated business the job is varied, with having brooding, growing, processing and transport operations all happening in house. You will be responsible for day to day management of a seasonal poultry site reporting in to the farm manager as well as assisting across the wider farms estate.

The ideal candidate would speak fluent English as well as hold a valid UK driving license. Ideally a competent machine driver, however training can be given. All poultry specific training will be given in house as well as enrolment on the UK recognised poultry passport training scheme. Any licences, tickets or prior poultry/gamekeeping knowledge will be given priority and will reflect in the remuneration offer. Accommodation is available in a static home.

The job involves day to day poultry checks, general estate management, small herd of beef cattle jobs, machinery operations and other general farm work. Project and infrasructure jobs carried out in house to chance to learn and keep the day to day jobs varied.
