Fourth-generation mixed farming business in Essex, between Ongar and Chelmsford. We grow over 300 ha of combinable crops and offer contract farming services including slurry and digestate application. Our 600-sow iunit raises progeny that are finished on the same site and on another site in East Anglia. The business also includes food manufacturing, renewables, property, woodland and Countryside Stewardship.

Main responsibilities:

1. Tractor driving - Mucking out, hedgecutting, slurry pump work and some arable operations.

2. Grounds maintenance - Cutting grass and hedges along with other maintenance work such as strimming, pressure washing and painting.

3. Stock duties - Helping move pigs, holiday cover on stock, repairs and maintenance.

4. Workshop duties - Repairs, organising, and looking after parts stocks.

Well suited to a new entrant, a tractor driver or a stockperson looking for more variety. Practical experience on farms is welcome but not essential further training will be provided. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their work, polite, a team player, motivated, willing to listen and learn, enthusiastic, positive and able to work under pressure.
