Description

T***** W***** Farm is situated in the heart of the Hampshire countryside and comprises around 100 acres of arable fields and an old farmyard which has been diversified to create a stunning and unique wedding venue Clock Barn.

We are currently recruiting for someone looking to join their maintenance team as the Farm and Grounds Maintenance worker, reporting to the Estate and Venue Maintenance Manager. In order to be successful, candidates will need to be extremely hardworking and possess a positive and friendly attitude.

Key responsibilities:

-Responsible for ensuring all grounds are finely kept, using pedestrian and ride-on mowers

-Responsible for general turf maintenance and fertilising programme, as well as pesticide spraying of site

-Responsible for the trimming and reduction of hedges across the estate

-Maintaining and mending all fencing and gates around the site, including post-and-rail, and closed panel board fencing

-Completing general farm maintenance around the property, including any breakages

-Assisting the Estate & Venue Maintenance Manager to ensure all the machinery is in good working condition and regularly serviced

-Responsible for general maintenance on the water system, including the bore hole

-Helping with painting and other general venue upkeep, especially during scheduled maintenance periods

-Complete Health and Safety checks in accordance with company policy

- Responsible for completing daily checks of the site and grounds ready for the wedding guests

-Supporting the wider team with wedding duties, where required including helping with traffic management on wedding days and being on-call

Qualifications and Experience:

-Experience in mechanics and annual servicing of equipment

-Ability to maintain a professional appearance and provide friendly customer service

-PA1 & PA6 Licence, advantageous

-Chainsaw Maintenance and Crosscutting licence, advantageous

This role is a full-time, permanent position. The normal working hours include weekends, working as part of a friendly yet small team, so full flexibility (especially during our peak season) is required.
