An exciting opportunity has arisen, an incredibly diverse family owned business specialising in commercial and residential property, green energy and agriculture. This role is varied across all the farming, biomass and green waste enterprises reporting to the board of directors.
The farm consists of 500ha of arable and 50ha of pasture land sited in north west Kent on the urban fringe of Dartford. The farm is predominantly cropped with combinable crops, maize and operates a large countryside stewardship and sustainable farming incentive scheme.
You will have the skillset and be responsible for:
The Arable Enterprise:
oEstablishment and Management of all agri environmental schemes across the estate
oCoordination of activities with the farms contractor
oCapable to carry out general farm maintenance work such as hedge cutting and mowing
oOut loading of grain over harvest with telehandler
oKeeping accurate and up to date records
Biomass:
oFull responsibility for managing and maintaining the biomass boilers
oWork alongside with the green waste site operator providing cover and assistance when necessary
The Wider Estate:
oResponsibility for maintaining and improving the fabric and infrastructure of the landed estate including all farm and woodland.
oManagement and control of CSS & SFI Schemes including installing capital items
oEnsuring compliance with H&S, Red Tractor, EA, Countryside Stewardship, Woodsure and BSL standards
