Herefordshire based 1,000 cow dairy farm is looking for a motivated, driven, enthusiastic indiviudal to join the team as a calf rearer.

The successful individual will be responsible for looking after young calves from birth to movement off farm (around 3-4 weeks).

Work to include feeding and looking after young calves, assisting with calving, colostrum feeding and calf data recording.

We are an award winning, family run business. Cows are milked 3 times a day through a 50 point GEA rotary parlour. We are an exceptionally tidy farm & well presented.

We aim to grow top quality forage, grass on a multicut system and maize, farming 1200 acres, to feed the cows a high forage healthy TMR diet to optimise milk yields and cow health. This is inline with the businesses progressive attitude to the future of dairy farming.

We are proud to be on an Arla 360 contract and therefore attention to detail is key to enable us to keep within the parameters and standards associated with this contract. This includes general cow welfare and strict record keeping.

We calve all year round, do all AI in house, calving down to British Blue beef calves.

• Helping to ensure the smooth running of dry cow/dairy unit
