We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dairy Herd Manager to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of our dairy herd and associated operations. You will lead milking routines, herd health and staff supervision. Working alongside the Farm Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

•Full responsibility for daily herd management, including milking routines and animal welfare.

•Manage herd health, oversee calving cows and transition cow.

•Collaboration with vet during routine visit. Assisting with weekly foot trimming

•Supervise and develop farm staff to maintain high performance and standards.

•Ensure accurate record keeping for production, breeding and health.

•Maintain compliance with regulatory and industry standards for health and safety.

Person Specification

Skills & Experience (Essential):

•Leadership capability and working as part of a team.

•Passion for animal health & welfare.

•Experience in Dairy Farming further training provided

•Attention to detail.

•Reliability

•Interest in genetics and general love for dairy cows

•Competent record keeping and basic IT skills.

•Full driving licence preferred.
