Family farm with a High Yielding Pedigree Holstein Herd of 130 Dairy Cows milked by 2 Lely Robots, recently awarded Master Breeder status for the second time by Holstein UK.

We are looking for someone capable to join our small friendly team to work along side us, with the day to day care of the dairy cows, with high attention to detail and animal welfare standards. This role also includes some General Farm Work and Basic tractor work.

Main responsibilities to include:

- Working along side us to mange the cows through the robots.

- Daily routine of cubicle care, yard work, scrapping out.

- Identifying sick/bulling cows

- Care of newly calved cows and newborn calves.

- Care of youngstock, including feeding/bedding, vaccinations etc.

- Daily routine maintenance of the robots.

- General farm work, including basic tractor work.

The right person must

- Be able to work in a team and independently

- Be reliable, responsible and use their own initiative.

- Maintain high standards of stockmanship and cleanliness

This role would be very rewarding for someone with a genuine interest in breeding good cows. We are a small supportive team with a good sense of humour. We are hoping to find someone who would like to settle with us.

For the right person this role could develop into a Herdsperson position with us, and we would facilitate any additional training this requires.
