Near Oundle, Northamptonshire/Cambridgeshire border | Full-time, Senior Role | Competitive salary, DOE

About Us

We are producing native-breed, high-welfare grass-fed beef alongside an intensive beef finishing unit, and building direct relationships with local customers and wholesale partners. As we grow, we're planning a new poultry enterprise and developing a retail beef business and we're looking for someone to help lead that growth.

The Role

You'll support the day-to-day running of Longbrook Farm, working closely with the Farm Director to ensure livestock and land are managed sustainably and profitably. This is currently a standalone role, with strong potential to grow into a full management position across the enterprises as the business expands.

What You'll Be Doing

•Overseeing day-to-day welfare, health, and husbandry across the grass-fed beef herd and intensive finishing unit, plus general farm, yard, and light arable work

•Planning and coordinating breeding, nutrition, forage strategy, and pasture management

•Working alongside the Farm Director to uphold high standards of animal care, product quality, and environmental stewardship

•Supporting the launch of a new poultry enterprise housing, feeding, biosecurity, and welfare systems

•Helping develop our retail beef offering, from butchery and packaging to local delivery and provenance storytelling

•Maintaining farm infrastructure, equipment, and machinery, and supporting budgeting and cost control

•Managing records for livestock performance, compliance, and existing SFI schemes

What We're Looking For

•Proven agricultural experience, including livestock management

•Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a standalone role

•Commercial acumen, with project planning experience an advantage

•Strong communication, negotiation, and organisational skills

•Full driving licence and cattle experience essential

•Telehandler certificate, trailer licence, chainsaw, and workshop skills an advantage (training available)

What's On Offer

•A hands-on role with real impact and genuine growth opportunity

•Clear potential to grow into a full management role across the enterprises as the business expands

•Competitive remuneration, dependent on experience, plus incentives tied to enterprise performance

•Professional development and the chance to help build new agricultural ventures from the ground up
