We are looking for the correct individual to report to the owner of the farm as often as necessary and be responsible for the arable area of 1,000 acres, this person must have an enquiring mind, the ability to organise themselves and others at key times throughout the season. Good time management, communication skills and a desire to make things happen is essential.

The applicant would also be helping with our great Countryside Stewardship/SFI and Woodland Management programmes which are ongoing to make a better environment on our farms.

The applicant would be driving a John Deere 6R250 for approximately 1200 hours per year, main operations would include drilling with our 6m Amazone, digestate carting, cultivations, hedge cutting, 360 digger work with our 9T Takeuchi, JCB work, quad bike work and other jobs on the farms, the applicant would be responsible for organising the servicing of all machines. A comprehensive knowledge of working farm machinery and servicing is essential as well as good mechanical and fabrication skills.

The applicant MUST have a lot of experience in all fields required above as well as holding current PA1, PA2, Telehandler certificates. THIS JOB IS NOT FOR AN INEXPERIENCED PERSON, IF THIS IS YOU THEN PLEASE DO NOT APPLY!

You will be working on your own most of the time so self motivation and organisation skills are essential.

Opportunity to get involved with the game shoot in the quieter times of the year is welcomed to the correct applicant.

The quieter times of year would be used to plan the following season with the owner of the farm.

The correct applicant would be well remunerated depending upon their experience between £40,000 - £50,000 per annum.
