Stockman / General Farm Worker Required

Due to the continued expansion of our family-run farming business, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking Stockman / General Farm Worker to join our team.

This is a varied role, with most of the work involving machinery operation, alongside livestock duties. We run 500+ calving cows as well as a large finishing cattle enterprise, offering plenty of variety and responsibility.

Main Duties

* Operating modern farm machinery (majority of the role)

* Feeding and bedding livestock

* Working with modern air and hydraulic-operated handling systems and cattle crates

* Tagging, dosing, worming and general cattle care

* Assisting with calving when required

* General farm maintenance and day-to-day farm duties

Requirements

* Experience operating tractors and farm machinery

* Experience handling livestock

* Flexible and willing to work long or variable hours (unlimited hours available)

* Practical, hardworking and reliable

* Able to work well as part of a team and also independently when required

Desirable

* Previous experience with calving cows or finishing cattle

* Good stockmanship with a high standard of animal welfare

* Telehandler and loader experience
