Full-Time Farm Worker Mixed Family Farm
We are looking for a practical, reliable and enthusiastic person to join our small team on our family-run mixed farm in Northumberland.
This is a permanent, full-time position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in doing a job properly and wants to be part of a farm that is continually improving.
The role is varied and will include:
* Daily livestock work with our pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle, including feeding, moving stock, bedding, calving support and routine health work such as vaccinations.
* Looking after our small pedigree Dorset Horn sheep flock, including lambing.
* Tractor work throughout the year including drilling, grass establishment, rolling and other seasonal operations.
* Operating telehandlers and a range of modern farm machinery.
* Fencing, woodland and conservation work as part of our environmental stewardship schemes.
* Machinery maintenance, general farm repairs and helping wherever needed.
Were looking for someone who is calm around livestock, practical, hardworking and dependable. Experience with livestock and agricultural machinery is essential, but attitude, common sense and a willingness to learn are just as important.
We believe good farming comes from people who careabout the animals, the land, the equipment and each other. Were looking for someone who wants to build a long-term career, enjoys variety and takes satisfaction from seeing the results of their work.
A brief CV or employment history should be included with your application, and references will be required before appointment.
If youre looking for more than just another farm job, and want to be part of a farm that is investing in its future, wed love to hear from you.
