We are looking for an experienced & skilled tractor driver to carry out a variety of operations using modern machinery for both our busy contracting business & personal farming operations across Somerset & Wiltshire.

Alongside the contracting, we run a herd of 200 beef cattle from reared calves to finishers. Long term, we plan to increase numbers to 500 head so if the candidate had a preference for stock work then the role can be altered to fully manage the stock side.

Candidates must:

Be punctual, reliable & well mannered

Be able to confidently liaise with other staff members & customers

Be willing to work long & varied hours

Be self-motivated & able to use their own initiative especially when overcoming difficult scenarios or breakdowns

Display mechanical aptitude (welding & workshop skills preferable)

Take pride in their machinery & work

Experience in at least one of the following is advantageous:

Umbilical slurry spreading

Drilling

Combining

Baling - round & square

Employed or Self Employed.

Ideally applicants will want a permanent position, but we are open to temporary/harvest positions.

Job can start as soon as possible.
