We are looking for a full time herdsperson to be part of a three person team on a 300 cow autumn block calving herd in East Sussex.
Confidence and competence is required to assist the herd manager in all aspects of hygienic milk production and high animal welfare. Foot trimming and AI skills would be an advantage but not essential.
Competitive salary based on experience.

Cows are milked twice a day through a 30 point rapid exit parlour, grazed in the summer months and housed through the winter on a self feed maize/grass silage system. Replacement heifer calves are transferred to our separate rearing unit and return to the dairy at two years old to calve into the herd.
The role will involve daily milking, yard scraping, calf feeding during the calving season, fencing, and all other aspects of keeping the herd healthy and achieving hygienic milk production.
