We are looking for a foreman to help with the day to day running of our Suckler Cow herd and followers along with the Arable enterprise. We run a 400 head suckler cow enterprise finishing all progeny on home grown feed using mainly Aberdeen Angus genetics. In the winter you would help feed all the stock a tmr and assist with calving in the spring.

On the Arable side there would be winter ploughing to do. Other tractor work would be primary cultivations, fertiliser spreading and silage operations.

One of the reasons we are taking on another member of staff is we've taken on another family farm.

Thirlestane is our base which is a 1200 acre stock farm capable of growing 200+ of cereals we also we have a SDLT on 350 acres of Arable next door. The other farm we are taking on in November is a 540 acre farm capable of growing vegetables.
