I have driven a John Deere 6100m scraper, scraping out various heifer cubicles including manoeuvring around tight spaces.

I have used a Kramer Kt-407 using a silage grab, moving trailers including reversing them bedding up calf pens using a grab and bale spikes, loading the straw chopper and using the bucket.

Vast experience carting using various different tractors, also have TMR feeding experience

I have driven an older Case, with a straw chopper on the back.

I have driven various modern John Deere tractors, 145R, 155R and 195R using GPS to perform, cultivating, sub soiling and grassland management ploughing (plough already set up for me) hay making (no baling) etc with a keen attitude to learn more

Other livestock experience

I have 2.5 experience with calf rearing and heifers, including the day to day care of them, feeding, making milk, checking for illnesses, loading, moving, tb testing, holding for freeze branding, clearing out sheds, bedding up sheds, scraping, dehorning, injecting for illness etc this also includes running them out in the summer months, controlling grazing. Very confident with stock

I also have milking experience, in a 12x12 herringbone parlour, 9x9 herringbone and 10x10 herringbone, experience with adf and small amount of experience in drafting systems.

Also currently run a very small suckler herd of native breed cattle including a bull, Ive partaken in calving, weighing etc

Farming background

I have worked as a calf rearer for the past 2.5 years I have always had a keen passion for agriculture however have found it difficult to pursue a career into it. During my job calf rearing I have learnt a lot, how to use a tractor and scraper, starting to learn about reversing trailers, using the telehandler with various different appliances. I have also learnt a lot about stock handling.

I have partaken in some part time arable work, using modern John Deere equipment to carry out cultivating, subsoiling and rolling tasks using GPS

I have also done milking in a 12x12 herringbone parlour, I really enjoyed this and it is something I would be interested in learning more about.
