I started as Saturday assistant from November 2017. In August 2018 I took a 2-year apprenticeship in butchery, which also allowed me a day on the farm once a week, experiencing tractor driving, milking cows, livestock control. I completed the apprenticeship early, which allowed me to become a fully qualified full time Butcher. During this time I have progressed my skills within butchery, allowing me to also run the counter on my own, and take on more responsibility within the shop.

Most recently I have worked on a mixed beef cattle and arable farm operating a mix of claas tractors with fastrac and Kubota and JCB telehandlers. I have been here and done a further 3 harvests and into the 4th winter season of work on this mixed farm.
I joined an Arable farm at the end of July 2022 and started just before commencing harvest of winter wheat, winter beans and spring peas. Therefore I have experienced one harvest on cart using both Claas Arion tractors (620 and 650) and a Fendt 724. I have also completed after tasks such as topping, disc cultivating and sub-soiling with a Grange. I have only had 3 months experience with these tasks and the reason for this job ending is due to a lack of work throughout winter months. Within working I have used a John Deere GPS, Fendt GPS and a little work with the Claas GPS.
