2014-16 I worked for my local john deer dealership doing a mechanic apprenticeship

Summer 16-18 spent two summers driving a John Deere 8520 and big back 1290 baler. I was the only operator and was in control of loading with all the different farmers and deciding where to go on what day.

After this I spent 3 years contracting for a plant hire company. Carried out a range of civil and groundworks projects

For the next two summers I have operated a new Holland combine and done other general farm work. I also have all my own tools and am competent in joinery.

From 2022 until now august 2025 I have worked at a modern arable farm , growing combinable crops and potatoes.

My main roles here were to keep all the tractors and kit serviced and working as they should . I was also responsible for 50% of the drilling , all of the cultivations and ground preparation for potatoes. Hedge trimming , fert spinning and all of the digger work. I also managed the potato washing and grading shed in the less busy periods . This involved managing the 4/5 staff Monday-Friday, packing and managing deliveries and collections.
