In my role as Animal Care Manager, I am responsible for ensuring the welfare of a wide variety of animals whilst also managing a small team of 6, maintaining the facilities, estate, farm vehicles, and guaranteeing compliance with health, safety and biosecurity protocols.

Animal Keeper 2018- 2019: Educating the public about the animals on the farm. Administering medication to all livestock. Lambing and kidding. Foot trimming for the goat and sheep only. TB testing. Basic tractor driving.
Farm worker 2019-2021: Looking after all livestock to optimum welfare standards. Experience administering medication, lambing, calving, kidding, goat and sheep foot trimming, large scale goat dairy milking and small scale cow dairy milking. Basic tractor driving.

Alongside my current role I have had my own flock of sheep which I breed and sell on as store lambs or meat boxes and additionally I volunteer at a Dairy farm as and when they need an extra hand covering milking shifts.
