Farming background

Currently for the past 5 years iv been assisted manager On a 400 cow indoor high output system averaging 40l, we put the stales to grass after 2nd cut and buffer fed at night as we dont have enough land around yard, my normal day I start milking which takes 5 hours in the morning through a 19 point parlour (far to long) and 4 hours at night, I would milk the 1st batch of highs for hour an half then somebody would milk the rest, I would then go feed calves 6 days a week morning and evening, calfs wer reared in single pens for 10 days then on to JFC calf feeder, extremely good eye for a sick calf, we had a serious out break of micro plasma which I got under control though working with the vet and vaccination all calfs at 3 days old, now mortality has dropped to 1 calf in th last 5 months, which we have calved nearly 200 cows/hefers, calves get 5/ 6 liters of good colostrum over 2 feeds 90 percent fed through a good teat an bottle, bagged if wont drink, then onto Britmilk and gabrovet for 3 days for crypto, horned with paste tagged and wen good and strong put onto the feeder getting them to 9 liters by day 20, then I would start the tmr feeding 5 loads a day through a Keenan 365 feeding the milkers, then on to young stock and beef cattle, I would make the orders for the 2 lorry loads of meal a week, while working with the nutritionist on a weekly basis, then twice a week would trim cows feet on a cow tipper crush and drying of every 2 weeks would do 15/20 on a Friday,
