Farming background

Helped on father beef and sheep farm since I could walk, and last year we brought our own herd of boer goats. Whilst still in school I gained experience working on neighbouring farms: milking and day to day care of sheep. After collage worked on a sheep farm taking responsibility of the sheep, spraying and dosing, foot trimming, shearing of sheep and lambing duties. After 18 months I left the farm to gain experience on other farms lambing, shearing and to go to Norway wrapping wool. Over the last two years I have worked in the local auction every Thursday, moving sheep and lambs, tag scanning, weighing lambs, clerking and recording customer names and livestock prices and washing at the end of the day.
