I come from a 40 cow suckler farm at home. I completed 8 weeks of work experience on a dairy farm milking 200 cows, I was also responsible for calf rearing, dosing, and other general work such as cleaning. I started at 7am every day and was always on time and had everything ready to go for milking to start at half 7. Now I am currently milking on a 400 cow dairy farm. I completed a 16 week placement on a Sheep farm with 900 lowland ewes where I will be assisting with lambing in march and carrying out dosing, feeding, cleaning etc. I worked the rest of the summer of 2021 on this farm packing eggs and carrying out all the checks for all the 1600 hens.
