ue to location of being in the south west of Devon, Ive predominantly worked on dairy farms, I currently work on a 10 swing over dairy farm milking 80 cows twice a day my role on this farm is to be a relief Milker and general farm worker as I work on my own when I do I take care of young stock and move strip grazing fence. So I have some experience in the husbandry side of the herd and I have some good knowledge on calving because we are block calving in June July every year and have learnt a lot of the farmer and from college.

Now living on a 2000 acre estate attached with a 2000 head beef farm my day to duties are bedding and scraping 5 separate farms on the estate and moving fencing for outside cattle as well as identifying illness and treating accordantly

Farming background

Ive been working on a dairy farm since the age of 14 and for two years I worked for free to gain knowledge. Its 80 dairy herd with a ten by ten swing over I carry out day to day tasks on the farm such as feeding bedding milking and mucking out during winter. And during the summer we do as much of our tractor work as possible and Ive gained some experience from this view of farming .

Worked on a 2000 dairy herd in Dorset for over a year, then moved from dairy to my current job on a beef farm
