Job role involed:

. Farrowing on 2 batches of 150 sows on a three week rotation. I was responsible for feeding, tailing of piglets, vaccination of piglets, general welfare maintenance. Fostering piglets when required. General welfare of sows . Paddock maintenance and keeping up with fencing and water lines.

With in this job role I assisted with weaning, serving sows and up and coming guilts. When not on farrowing unit I was assisting with other duties across the farm.

My job Role/ duties at dourie involved: Feeding 1000 Dairy cows

and 500 young stock, using a tractor and a Shelbourne Reynolds

mixer wagon, also using a telehandler to cut silage to put into

the feeder.

Other Jobs included:

Tidying the pit.

Maintaining machines.

Stock work when required i.e helping on the pig unit with

loading of pigs, strawing up and any other help that was

required.

Fencing.

Tidying around the farm.

Pressure washing.

Fertilising paddocks.

This job was just to fill my time before starting my job at D.W.Cook I was only here for around 5-6 Weeks. My job role at this potato group was to Load planters with Telehandler and to cart seeds.

Baler operator- 20,000, 25,000 Bales over 2 seasons 2021-2022,

Silage, Hay & Straw.

Bale carting

Mowing, Teddering, Raking, Wrapping & stacking.

Mucking out cattle sheds, Pig sheds & carting muck away.

Assisting with 2000 pigs at different stages; mucking out,

strawing up, Jabbing, loading onto lorries And clearing of fallen

Stock.

Seasonal time away on a potato group - spring planting and

autumn lifting.

Cow, calf, store cattle, winter feeding, bedding and mucking out.
