I have limited experience of working with machinery but I am very keen to learn.
Dairy work in UK and Australia; milking in rotary and herringbone parlour.
Youngstock; feeding calves, colostrum management, vaccinating, management of sick calves.
Sheep work in the UK and Australia; gathering, dosing, moving sheep in yards, lambing, lamb marking.
I am autistic. This enables me to be very passionate and put my energy into what I love which is farming. It gives me high attention to detail and a good understanding of animals.
Train my spaniels for gundog work and sheepdog pup. I have native breed ponies and a small number of Boreray sheep that I take care of. I enjoy learning. I am currently reading 'Dirt to Soil' by Gabe Brown.
I have a variety of experience on multiple farms both in the UK and Australia. I have worked in the dairy and sheep industries. I have done lambing indoors in the UK doing the usual indoor lambing jobs: penning up ewes and lambs, taking ewes and lambs out to the field with quad and trailer, tailing lambs, record keeping.
I have worked on calf units rearing dairy replacements and beef calves.
I have previously worked sheepdogs. I currently just have a 7 month old pup who I am training to work sheep.
I have a keen interest in regenerative farming and conservation grazing. I am particularly passionate about native breeds and using them for land management.
