Farming background

2019-present, Manufacturing and sales with an animal nutritionalist were I am involved in all aspects of manufacturing, delivering and sales of animal feed. Manufacturing livestock feed on a daily basis to the highest quality abiding by all the necessary regulations to ensure this is carried out.

Deliver produced feed to farmers ensuring that the product arrives fully intact ready for the farmer to unload.

Speak with farmers to provide them with advice and recommendations to problems that they may be having with the nutritional aspect of the livestock.

2017-2019, Dairy Farm Assistant to 300 cows were I helped with all areas of running the farm from milking to grassland management to fertiliser spreading. Also assisted with calving, vaccinating and heat detection. Jan 2018-Jun 2018 Farm Assistant on a dairy farm in New Zealand where again I assisted in all areas of running the farm from milking to feeding out Palm Kernel and silage to help supplement the cows diet near the winter. 2016-2017 Farm Hand on a beef farm where i assisted with the feeding of all livestock during the winter, ensured they had clean bedding and in the summer months helped wwith moving livestock and topped fields once they had been grazed. May 2015- Aug 2015 Farm Hand on a dairy farm where i helped with milking as well as other areas such as spreading fertiliser and spreading slurry. I also helped carting both pit silage and bale silage during the first and second cut. When reseeding was undertaken I was tasked with spraying off the field and once ploughed i had to prepare it again for sowing.
