Farming background

I am not from a farming background and have found it hard to find opportunities to be taken on and trained. I have done adhoc work in the UK on a number farms as a temporary position. Then I got a fantastic break to work in Iceland on a Dairy and Sheep farm for two years. This gave me a fantastic overall experience as I ran the farm with the owner and many days had a lot of responsibility. I have driven tractors and used most machinery . I mainly used a telehandler to do various jobs such as feeding/moving bales and routine farm work. Working on the farm trained me up in various tasks which I took to quickly, these included: scraping, milking, lambing, calving, feeding, fencing and general husbandry and farm jobs. I am now back in the UK and looking for farm work either in the UK or abroad where I can become a valuable asset to someone and hopefully work at a farm for a long time. I might not be as experienced in some things as others but I learn quickly, work hard and have a passion for farming. If there is someone who is willing to take me on I can guarantee full commitment to everything I do.

I also have ATV ticket. Looking to make the move and start a family with my partner.
