Farming background

As well as working on dairy farms I have worked in a variety of jobs outside farming. I have been an assistant prison chaplain in Belmarsh and Berwyn prisons, which has thrown up some dangerous and intense situations. I've had my own window cleaning business and now currently am a beekeeper of over 20+ hives which I us to sell my own honey through my own honey business.

Despite my first farming job being very tough during a hard winter of calving a 250+ herd, I still enjoyed it greatly and its only furthered my passion. I received a lot of praise in this job by the manager and farm owner. I then moved onto a more senior herdsman role at a dairy farm in South Cheshire where I led the milking of a 250+ herd twice a day with an assistant. During that period I was praised for my regular treatment of the cows feet for digital dermatitis, and general speed and efficiency in the parlour. I then moved onto a dairy/beef farm in Ewloe, Flintshire where I was a full-time calf-rearer.
