I have worked five seasons of spud planting; including bedtiling and de-stoning and spud harvesting and five seasons of trailer work with silaging. Other various farm work including bail hauling, sugar beat carting and livestock work which included bedding and feeding cattle using varying methods.

I spent a year working on a sheep and cattle farm, although my work was mainly with the sheep.

I have been worked on a 2,500-acre arable farm where I carried out the harvesting of; carting, OSR (oil seed rape), wheat, barley, beans and various ground work. I learnt the skill also whilst working on this farm of how to test crops to discover their productivity. Also, through this work I have gained the knowledge and experience to use tools such as; auto-steer and GPS. I believe this is a valuable attribute to hold in modern day farming.

In 2020, I have been working on a large estate farm in Huntingdon,Cambs. I have been doing trailer work with a John Deere and 20t Bailey trailer and carrying out cultivation work with ax press and green star/ rtf.

From February 2021 I have been working on a large dairy farm, where I have been carrying out all duties to include, feeding, bedding down, scraping out, sorting cows and calf rearing.

In addition, I have also helped out with my family business of fencing and hedge laying. The duties included within this work are; stock fencing, forestry work (tree cutting and planting), garden fencing, hand fencing and hedge laying.

I left my employment in December 2022 so that I could work with my father and continue his work fencing and hedge laying, whilst he had a full hip replacement.

From July 2023 until October 2023 I was back working for Agreserve in Cambridgeshire.

Since leaving I have been helping my dad fencing and hedgelaying and also doing some landscaping work and assisting with calves.

June 24- November 24 back at Agreserves as Head Trailer driver and also carrying out cultivation work.

November 24 onwards - hedgelaying and fencing.

Provided relief weekend help on a dairy farm and I have worked helping contractors when needed silaging etc.

I was unfortunately let down for my harvesting position this year, after being promised work, so have just taken work when offered.

I have been working in the family business of fencing and hedgelaying whilst carrying out other work for other people including baling, dairy farm yard work, dogger work and dumper driving.

I have now relocated to Dorchester with my partner who is a farm manager.

Now looking for a full time position but will take on a part time role of ad hoc work.
