Crop maintenance, working with agronomist, crop spraying and fertilizer applications with Bargam 3000JR GPS self-propelled sprayer.

Harvest combining, corn and straw carting, crop storage and monitoring. Claas Lexion 780

General estate and machinery maintenance.

Some livestock work in winter for housed cattle.

Barley, Grass & Maize crops; duties include establishing seed beds for Winter Barley, Maize and Grass lay reseeding. John Deere and Massey Ferguson tractors. Crop maintenance fertilizer spreading, grass rolling and chain harrowing. Harvest corn, straw, grass and maize carting, forage clapping, grass mowing and hedge cutting. Summer grazing land management / paddock rotation and fencing. Operating a biogas plant utilising farm slurry to generate biogas, a renewable fuel source and in turn renewable power through cogeneration / combined heat & power. Relief milking / dairy hygiene, herd health. Vet & Med including weekly vet visits when Herds man off. Block calving, heat detection. Electronic herd record keeping & grassland management apps.

Estates: Primary duties operating John Deere 6830 with all related arable machinery, ploughing, cultivation, fertilizer application, spraying and drilling. Experience with John Deere t660 hill master combine for harvesting cereals and rape seed. JCB telescopic handler for straw carting and general material movement. Road side, hedge cutting and general Estate land topping and mowing. Other duties including all livestock health and maintenance of a 60 head Simmental suckled herd with all progeny being reared to abattoir weight. The herd is grass fed with diet supplements as required.

Dairy Farm: Duties Operating machinery including feeder wagons, slurry pumps / tankers & pivot steer JCB materials handler. Maize, grass silage and straw carting and clamping. Relief milking 350 cows through fast exit system. Dairy hygiene, heat detection, vet and med herd health Various IT software applications for record keeping relating to herd production, health, & grass land management.
