Stockman on a 500 head buffalo dairy, entailing relief milking but mainly bedding up, feeding, general maintenance of paddocks and cattle etc. 400 head beef farm with 300 head of sheep and 600 acres of arable ground, general maintenance of cattle and sheep, vaccinations, shearing, dagging,foot trimming and worming, etc. 250 head of beef cattle where i was again feeding, bedding,vaccinating, worming and weighing all cattle taking them from to market size.

Previous employment was as relief herdsman with 150 milkers plus calves and some beef stock.

Currently head sprayer and herb harvester driver alongside general tractor duties etc.

I have a knowledgable background in aquatics as I studied fisheries management at sparsholt college. Whilst there I ran a successful breeding programme with tropical fish, to the extent i was able to exchange large amounts of fry for credit notes to supply the whole course with equipment, dry goods and also livestock.

Farming background

I grew up dairy farming, went on to mixed farm, and then back to dairy after. I was contract farming for several years and then back to arable farming and an under keeper on a private pheasant shoot.

Currently I am working on a 2500 acre mixed arable and dairy farm as relief sprayer operator and tractor driver.
