Farming background

To summarise myself I am 27 years old from Ireland currently living in Australia with my wife and 8 month old daughter. We are moving back to England and I am looking for a job on a dairy farm with a house for me and my family to move into . I have been out of the dairy industry for a few years now but I am really looking forward to getting stuck right back into it. My life goal is to one day have my own dairy farm but for now Im happy to work at one like it is my own and give my all to the animals

To Summarise I have got over 12 years experience in dairy farming and can do absolutely everything that needs doing I have got a keen eye for cows and love and care for them deeply. Working on a farm does not feel like work for me at all I absolutely love it.

Back home in Ireland I grew up working on my neighbour Liam Collins farm from the age of 8 years old I was driving tractors and milking cows its all I knew and all my childhood memories are from farming and being on liams farm working for him. When I was younger I was like liams shadow following him everywhere and learning everything from him and as I got older I took on a bigger role on the farm doing all the day to day stuff on the farm . Doing the milking on my own , calving cows feeding , bedding , calf rearing and so on. I worked at Liams from 8 to 18 Im 27 now and still go give him a hand on the farm if ever Im back home in Ireland. Liams farm wasnt too big there was 90 milking cows there

When I finished school at 18 back in Ireland I applied for a job on the website 4xtrahands and got offered a job in Norfolk working on a big dairy farm milking around 300 cows through the parlour and there was 3 robots milking 70 cows each also , aswell as that they kept all their heifer calves for rearing. I learned a lot in the year I worked on that farm especially as I went to the agriculture college once a week also and completed a course there and aswell as that I done a course in AI ( artificial insemenation )

After my year in Norfolk I moved back to Ireland and got a job through the farm relief services on a farm. I was the only person working on that farm and was milking 220 cows. There was calving all year round and I done the majority of the calving myself , I carried out all the day to day tasks on my own. I stayed there for a year I really enjoyed it

I went driving tractors on a massive arable farm in east anglia we had over 25 thousand acres made up of mainly maize and sugar beet. I done two years here it was great I liked the carting of the crops and really enjoyed power harrowing the fields aswell

Harvest job with JSE they are a soil eco system company based out of Ancastor I done a 3 month harvest with them spreading digestive for east Anglian water . My job was to drive a fastrac and tow a digger to fields and load a spreader everyday for 3 months I enjoyed it a lot

I done 3 month harvest in Peterboroughit was fantastic. Main duties included carting crops , hedge cutting , mowing and general tidying and maintenance

I done 6 months with frs again this time on a different farm there was 3 of us working on the farm and my main duties included all the day to day tasks on the farm

I done a year in Surrey workingin an aggregates quarry driving diggers and loading shovels loading trucks and operating crushers

I worked for over a year and a half altogether for Jerry. Jerrys farm is fattening cattle for market / slaughter he doesnt milk any cows he has 150 head of cattle finishing them off. My main tasks were day to day farming and a lot of fencing , topping , drainage work and all tractor work

I have done two years down in Australia operating heavy machinery such as 45 tonne articulated dump trucks
