In the past 13 years, I have provided dairy farmers with a professional, holistic farm management approach in achieving more milk from forage via the production of high-quality forages and grains.
Herd health, feet and fertility issues have been addressed via focus on rumen health. Farm-produced manures were utilised in the crop nutrition programme. A regular re-seeding plan was integrated to improve silage quality and milk yields from grazed grass, which allowed for improved margins via a reduction in purchased feeds. Soil health and productivity became an important focus, and regular soil testing combined with compaction alleviation was encouraged. Increased chop length of forages, which enhanced fibre digestion, became key to reducing digestive upsets and metabolic disorders. Treating forages with crop-specific additives and the inclusion of regular analysis to achieve a balanced diet were paramount to the continual management of the high-yielding cow in a profitable yet sustainable focus.

I enjoy sports and, in particular, football. A lifelong Liverpool fan. I am a keen half-marathon runner and enjoy keeping fit.
Height 5 ft 7" 75kg. Neat appearance with great energy and enthusiasm to learn new skills, matched with a good sense of humour. I am a punctual time keeper and enjoy routine. I take pride in the machinery I operate and the work that I am tasked with. I am not afraid to work long hours and provide that extra energy when it's required. When working on another farm, I like to treat it as if it were my own and always strive for a standard of work which I would be happy with at the end of each day. Food production is not a job its a passion and way of life.
None.
Since 2002, I have been working in Agronomy, providing a field walking service to include sales of a wide portfolio of inputs to the Dairy/Arable farming sector. During this time, I also obtained essential competency certificates, including PA-1/2, Facts, Basis, and Telehandler/Forklift certificates. My certificates would require refreshing and am keen to keep up to date with all required training etc.
