I also have experience of Calving Cows, kidding Goats and looking after Calves/Kids. This includes feeding, bedding them up, administering treatments and preparing them for market.

Farming background

I currently work as a Herd Manager on a dairy goat unit in Bridgwater. I have previously worked as an Herdsman on a large dairy farm where I milked 820 Goats twice a day. I carried out treatments, did record keeping, looked after young stock and carried out repairs/maintenance. Prior to this I worked as a Herdsman/Assistant Herdsman with dairy Cows where I milked twice a day, administered treatments, trimmed Cows feet, fed youngstock and checked on them, calved Cows, set up and took down grazing fences, carried out maintenance and assisted with vet checks.
