Use of tractor and telehandler, supported by driving courses organised and held by Lantra Awards, to perform several tasks in farm; i.e. feeding bales of silage to livestock, transporting bales of straw to lambing pens, load buckets with tarmac to fill potholes on the farm road, scraping the cow shed, rowing silage fields, moving silage bales from the field, amongst others tasks.
Repairing some fencing around the farm through replacing posts and/or post and rail when necessary.
Also have trailer licence (cat B+E), ATV and UTV driving course.
My experience with livestock is related to: lambing, assisting with calving, tagging/weighting/dosing/castrating sheep and cattle, some tractor work (feeding silage to sheep/cattle, moving and storing bales), moving electric fences amongst others.
When I worked in both dairy farms, besides milking I also dehorned calves, dried cows, initiated learning hoof trimming and helped to synchronise their oestrus - cdri placement and some others).

I mainly spend time with my children (twin boys) as well as training my sheepdogs.

Although I do not come from a farming background, I came into farming due my particular interest in sheepdogs and since I managed to get into the industry I have worked in different types of enterprises which gave me a broad experience and knowledge:
- from offering my help just to gain experience to lambing assistant in a small farm in Argyll and Bute; to a upland sheep and beef enterprise and hill/island farm in a small Hebridean Island.
- I have also briefly worked in dairy where I improved my knowledge related with cows and currently I am finishing my contract in an extensive sheep farm in Portugal.
Currently, I am looking for an opportunity that would not only allow to move back to Scotland where I lived for 12 years so I can be closer to my children, and also to give the next step in my career with a new challenge and where I could put all the knowledge I have gained from the courses I have taken into practice.
