Experienced in operating a range of machinery, from large 370hp tractors with Bailey trailers to smaller tractors, quad bikes, and 4x4 vehicles. I am a conscientious and practical worker, equally confident in machinery operation as in hands-on manual tasks, and always willing to step in wherever needed. I take pride in maintaining equipment to a high standard, regularly checking oil levels, greasing, and ensuring machinery is well cared for and reliable. Will always ask for help if needed, I don't know everything!
I am keen to apply for the Assistant Youngstock Manager position as I have a genuine passion for livestock and enjoy working in a hands-on farming environment. I have extensive experience with cattle health and welfare, including daily stock checks, identifying and treating illness, administering medicines, handling cattle safely, and ensuring high welfare standards are maintained at all times.
I enjoy working as part of a team but am equally confident taking responsibility and using my own initiative. I understand the importance of attention to detail when managing youngstock, from monitoring growth and health to maintaining accurate records and ensuring animals receive the highest standard of care.
Your regenerative approach to farming, focus on grazing systems, and commitment to investing in facilities, machinery and staff are exactly the type of business I want to be part of. I take pride in working hard, learning new skills, and contributing to a successful enterprise where animal welfare and performance go hand in hand.
I would welcome the opportunity to bring my experience, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm to your team while continuing to develop my knowledge within a progressive beef finishing business.
I hold a clean UK driving licence and have strong references from mixed arable and livestock farms where Ive worked. I bring reliability, a strong work ethic and genuine care for the animals and land that I look after.

I have extensive harvest experience and am confident operating a wide range of tractors and agricultural machinery. My experience includes leading from the combine carting grain, loading sheds and stores with corn etc working around grain dryers, and carrying out cultivations and general fieldwork. I am experienced in reversing trailers safely and accurately, working efficiently under pressure during busy harvest periods, and maintaining a high standard of work.
I am comfortable carrying out routine machinery maintenance, including greasing equipment, daily checks, cleaning down machinery, and keeping work areas tidy. I can work independently when required, using my own initiative to get jobs done, while also working effectively as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly. I am reliable, hardworking and understand the importance of safety, communication and attention to detail during harvest.
