Erecting stock fencing, buildings work, building raised bed areas
I have worked as a lambing assistant in North Wales on a 2000 ewe breeding indoor system, highlands of Scotland lambing on an organic outdoor system, and an outdoor regenerative system in Devon. I have owned my own flock, and grown lambs on to sell as direct sales meat boxes. I have assisted TB testing, and cattle pregnancy scanning, and have some experience of vaccinating calves.
I love to visit new places, walk and relaxing. I love to exercise outdoors, cycling, running, walking, hiking. Socialise with friends and attend agricultural shows and vintage fairs.
I am from a farming family, I wish to gain practical skills and knowledge to enable me to run a farm in the future, I have previously volunteered on a smallholding where I carried out jobs including; erecting stock fencing, building compost toilet, building raised bed areas, planting, and harvesting vegetables, mowing lawns, I have experience of various lambing systems, and have managed a grainstore during harvest. I am looking to gain as much livestock experience as possible, with an interest to include organic/non organic farming, holistic grazing and producing pasture fed meat.
