Own sheep composite (shetland draft ewes bred up using easycare rams incorporating inversale and myomax genes). Precision lambing, drafting ewes to litter size and set stocking for 35 days in 3ha paddocks. Outwintering on silage aftermaths, permanent pasture and arable cover crops, with sheep moved at least every 3 days. Utilising teaser rams and the Golden Twenty to maximise scan withina. tight 21 day tupping period. Extreme focus on fertility.

Management of 150 cow suckler herd, transitioning from traditional lowland herd (simmental x cows put to terminal bulls, housed during winter, calved inside in March, progeny finished as barley beef in a shed) to Pasture For Life accredited outdoor herd. Focus on grazing management, with weekly plate metering and cattle moved 4x a day. Fertility was main KPI, with all heifers bulled to calve at 24 months, and annually after that. 42 day bulling period at grass. Cattle were outwintered on crop and bales, with daily electric fence moves. Heifers had 21 days observed AI, and 21 days sweeper bulls.
