I have three years experience working on a 7,500-acre arable farm in Salisbury, Hampshire, with my main responsibilities including trailer work, grain store management and general field maintenance. I also have experience operating rollers and applying slug pellets, alongside developing practical workshop and machinery maintenance skills. From September to May, I worked in Australia across three separate harvests, gaining experience operating combines and chaser bins, as well as fertilising and carrying out maintenance, fault finding and repairs on tractors, combines and seed drills. I also completed a seeding season on a 5,000-hectare farm, operating a 12-metre John Deere drill and gaining further experience in large-scale arable farming.
Growing up on the family farm, I gained hands-on experience caring for a small herd of cattle and sheep. I was regularly involved in feeding, bedding and general livestock care, with a particular focus on cattle and assisting during calving. This has given me a solid practical understanding of cattle and sheep husbandry and day-to-day livestock management.

I grew up on a small family farm with a herd of cattle and approximately 100 sheep, gaining hands-on experience in day-to-day livestock care from a young age. I was involved in feeding, bedding, general animal husbandry and assisting with calving. The farm also involved managing around 500 acres of grassland, giving me a strong practical understanding of agricultural work, machinery and the seasonal demands of farming.
