I have undertaken seasonal lambing work every year for the past 9 years on commercial sheep farms, working with flocks of up to 800 ewes. My experience includes monitoring ewes throughout pregnancy and lambing, assisting with difficult births, neonatal lamb care, resuscitation, tube feeding, colostrum management and ongoing health monitoring. I also undertake routine husbandry including feeding, bedding, mucking out, moving and handling livestock, ear tagging, tail docking, castration and administering medications. I have also completed work experience alongside farm veterinary practices, gaining exposure to cattle health and routine farm veterinary work, including assisting with TB testing and PDing.
